if you pour water
up to
the halfway point
in the glass,
then it is half-full.
if the water is at the brim
and you drink it
half down,
then the glass becomes
half empty.

a glass
is always
just a glass.

broome street temple

one of my favorite places on earth is the broome street temple. inside,  you wouldn't even know that you were in the middle of busy, noisy downtown nyc. it's pure, yet electric energy feels like small-village-middle-of-no-where-India. I've been fortunate to be able to visit there on a few occasions, but because of my new demanding baby, I haven't been there in quite some time. my friend Kaustubha das recently posted this incredibly awesome docu-mmercial about the temple and it made me miss the temple and the most beautiful Radha-Damodar. you should watch it. and you should go visit. I promise you won't be dissappointed!
